Simon Zhou, CEO of ISO 9001 certified MintChem, a copper methane sulfonate, fluorine salt and other inorganic salt producer, believes: “Environmental standards have become much stricter so that it can be difficult for small companies to adapt to them”.
Mr. Zhou went on to say that companies who follow environmental regulation properly can become less competitive,which may lead them to cut corners.
Perhaps the biggest barrier to improve environmental condition in China is the difference between governmental agenda and ambivalent attitute to evironment protection from companies.
While the government is attempting to put forward environmental regulation, but it's not practical to consider that local government should bear all the costs of improving environment.
